- One of the largest athletic departments in the country announced a leadership change this week, as the University of Texas named former Texas Christian University athletic director Chris Del Conte to the same position in Austin.
- The mother of a high school basketball player who died after collapsing during an open gym is suing, saying that delayed deployment of an AED contributed to his death.
- The rift between the University of Louisville and former men's basketball coach Rick Pitino continues to widen, as the university filed a lawsuit alleging the coach’s “wrongful conduct” damaged the school’s reputation.
