Positive Outcome for WOODWAY in Patent Lawsuit with Samsara Fitness Over Non-Motorized Treadmill

WAUKESHA, WI, October 4, 2018 – WOODWAY USA, Inc., a leading designer and manufacturer of treadmills and other health, fitness, and rehabilitation equipment, is pleased to announce that the patent infringement litigation involving the TrueForm Runner treadmill sold by Samsara Fitness, LLC has been resolved. The litigation has been pending since November 2015 before Judge Janet C. Hall of the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut, Case No. 3:15-cv-01665-JCH, in which WOODWAY asserted that the TrueForm Runner treadmill infringes WOODWAY utility and design patents. The parties’ dispute has now been settled. Samsara Fitness has agreed to a settlement for past infringement as well as to take a license to the WOODWAY patents at issue, including U.S. Patent No. 9,039,580.
