Premium charging technology company installs charging stations in Baltimore and San Francisco stadiums for quick, convenient charging, and opens new distribution center in New York City

BALTIMORE, M.D. – June 22, 2018 – POWER UP™ (a Barcoding, Inc. company), the industry's premium charging technology company, is enhancing the fan experience at stadiums in Baltimore and San Francisco with the installation of cutting-edge charging tables, lockers and custom charging technology designs. Offering options for quick, convenient device charging, fans in baseball and football stadiums can stay connected during the moments that matter.

We want to make sure event-goers are connected, whether they’re sending photos and videos, updating social media, entertaining their children, calling loved ones, or requesting an Uber after the game. By making charging technology available, fans no longer have to worry about the battery percentage left on their devices, and can focus on what really matters—enjoying the game with friends and family.”

In order for fans to always see what’s happening on the field, even when they need to charge their phone, POWER UP’s convenient and flexible charging tables and lockers are strategically placed throughout the stadium, including in suites and clubhouses. Factors such as traffic flow, sightline to stadium screens, and proximity to food and drink vendors are considered when placing charging stations. In addition, charging tables are battery powered, with enough power to last a complete 3-game series, meaning the placement of stations is not limited to the location of plugs. Batteries in the tables can be charged ahead of time, and deployed within the venue where they can best serve guests.

Sam Berizzi, senior sports marketing specialist at Entercom, a broadcasting company, recently experienced the convenience of POWER UP’s technology first hand while attending a professional baseball game in Baltimore. 

She said, “When I arrived at the game, my phone was nearly dead. I didn’t have a charger, and I needed to connect with my father after the game so we could meet for dinner. When I walked into the suite, I saw the charging station and was able to charge my phone quickly. I was able to use it to take pictures during the event and call my father when the game was over. Staying connected is really important for enjoyment of the game, and because I had my phone, I had a better overall experience.”

POWER UP has distribution centers in Baltimore, Maryland and Orlando, Florida, and has recently opened a third facility in New York City. The additional distribution center will decrease deployment time for sports facilities and events, and provide quick, convenient service in the New York City area.
