One person was taken to the hospital after a brawl erupted Saturday at a middle school playoff game in New Mexico.
Officers received reports of a large confrontation around 12:00 near the football fields during a game between Lynn Middle School and Picacho Middle School. According to police, nearly 30 people were involved in the altercation.
According to parents in attendance, the fight started after the game, as players were high-fiving one another.
"Both teams are at fault," Tisha Nichole Garcia told KFOX4. "It was bad sportsmanship all around.
Garcia said parents quickly ran onto the field when the fight broke out, but instead of breaking it up many became involved in the altercation.
"Parents started beating up parents," Garcia said. "It was unbelievable. I couldn't believe that parents were like getting involved in that manner at all."
