A Virginia Beach man was arrested after he tried to enter a football stadium in Prince William County with a gun Saturday evening, police said.
As reported by ABC affiliate WVEC, the security check took place on the grounds of Potomac High School in Dumfries at a "non-school related football game." Albert Smith, 29, was charged with three counts of possession of a weapon on school grounds and a single count of carrying a concealed weapon.
Before attending the game, each guest had to be checked by security personnel at the stadium's entrance, according to the Prince William County Police Department. While Smith was being checked, security reported finding a gun inside his bag, prompting a police response.

Smith was denied entry and left the stadium. Officers eventually pulled him over, at which time three guns were allegedly found inside his vehicle.
