
Saturday night's NFL playoff game between the Baltimore Ravens and the Pittsburgh Steelers was paused briefly after a drone was spotted over M&T Bank Stadium.
According to the Daily Mail, officials called an "administrative timeout" in response to the drones, causing broadcast of the game to go to commercial.
The FAA creates temporary flight restrictions in the air space above NFL games, meaning planes can't travel over the stadiums and drones aren't permitted within three miles of any NFL stadium, according to the Associated Press.
When a drone is spotted over a stadium, the NFL requires officials to stop play until the situation is resolved.
This is the third time a drone has appeared over a Ravens games, prompting the NFL to ask fans to leave their remote-controlled aircraft at home.
'It's against the law,' special agent David Rodski told fans in a video posted on X by the FBI's Baltimore office. 'They're dangerous, they fall from the sky, you can hurt, injure or kill someone. "In addition, they can be dangerous to those in the sky."
