Several Alter High School boys basketball players and a coach had electronics stolen from their bags during a game at Purcell Marian High School in Cincinnati on Tuesday.

Cincinnati police are investigating the thefts of at least six students' iPhones and a coach's bag containing an iPad and a laptop worth around $3,000 total.

Alter Principal Lourdes Lambert said both schools are working with police to follow up on leads.

The theft is believed to have occurred during the first half of the varsity game. Purcell Marian Principal Veronica Murphy told WCPO in Cincinnati that visiting teams to the school are always given a key so they can lock up their valuables, but the door to the locker room was not locked.

Alter won, 73-23.
