The University of North Texas is adding a unique feature to the field at Apogee Stadium. The school announced that it would be replacing the synthetic turf field with a temperature-adjusting product. The product, FieldTurf’s Cool Play surface, reportedly can keep surfaces 35 degrees cooler than other infill systems. The facility focused on providing every student with space for development, whether in athletics, fitness, wellness or health. The University of Kentucky’s forthcoming baseball stadium is reportedly on schedule for completion this fall. The $49 million project will feature 2,500 permanent chair-back seats and be expandable to a seating capacity of 7,000. Ball State University is nearing completion of its Don Shondell Volleyball/Basketball Training Facility. The facility features two regulation-sized courts, a training room, two team meeting rooms and a study space.
