
Duke Athletics announced Monday the addition of the Devils Deck to Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium.
Available for the 2024 season, this all-inclusive tiered deck spans seven sections, accommodates just over 1,500 fans and offers a unique social experience to continue tailgating while watching the Blue Devils compete on the gridiron.
The Devils Deck was concepted in collaboration with WME Sports as part of Duke's on-going efforts to help enhance its brand and the experiences associated with it. Designed for both individual fans and groups, the Devils Deck features standing and non-reserved seating areas throughout its free-flowing space. Fans can enjoy all-you-can-eat tailgate food and non-alcoholic beverages, access to purchase beer and seltzer as well as availability to rotating yard games. Russell County High School is making plans to open a new building for their athletic department next year.
The athletic director at Russell County High School tells News 3 plans are in place to build a multi-purpose building for athletes to use. The building will serve as an additional competing and training facility for the athletic department.
Faculty members say the school is running into challenges when scheduling practices as each sport is competing for one training facility. Larry Knox, the Russell County High School athletic director, says the facility will allow for the wrestling, dance, and cheerleading programs to have their own rooms. The football team will have new locker and equipment rooms, in addition to a new training and weight-room room for all programs to use. [Yahoo Sports]
Iowa State unveiled a long-awaited upgrade inside Hilton Coliseum Friday. The home of several Cyclone sports will have a new video board. Iowa State posted photos of the new scoreboard on X.
The previous video board at Hilton Coliseum was installed in 2006.
Iowa State says the project also includes new sound systems at both Hilton and Jack Trice Stadium. New video boards will also be installed at Jack Trice Stadium in 2025, according to the athletic department. [KCCI 8]
