Locker Room Space Planning Enters a New Era

Space-planning in and around team locker rooms in multiuse facilities has entered a new era.

In April 1995, mere months before the FleetCenter (now known as the TD Garden) replaced it as the home of Boston's Celtics and Bruins, the Boston Garden was the focus of a Sports Illustrated interview with Celtics great John Havlicek. The 13-time NBA all-star recalled his first trip to the Celtics' home locker room after being drafted in the first round in 1962.
