The University of Florida also revealed an updated locker room for its football program. The $1.5 million project, which began in late April, will serve as the game day home for the football team. Jerry Yeagley Field at Bill Armstrong Stadium, home to Indiana University soccer, is undergoing a renovation that began this week. The facility, originally built in 1981, will receive a new playing surface, an upgraded drainage system and a new bermudagrass uniquely engineered to withstand cold Midwestern winters. Stephen F. Austin State University broke ground Monday on a $26 million basketball practice facility. The new facility will serve both the men’s and women’s basketball programs, providing each with their own practice space and coaches offices. The facility will include a gym, locker rooms, lounges and nutrition areas for student-athletes.
