Louisiana State University unveiled the $28 million Performance Nutrition Center and Football Operations Building this week. The renovation includes a new football locker room space that provides each player with space similar to what one might see on a first-class airplane, with an individual sleeping space. There are also charging ports, digitally locked storage and an iPad dock for film review. The school held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday. —

The University of Florida also revealed an updated locker room for its football program. The $1.5 million project, which began in late April, will serve as the game day home for the football team. It includes new graphics, lockers, carpet and lighting, as well as new lounge space. —

Jerry Yeagley Field at Bill Armstrong Stadium, home to Indiana University soccer, is undergoing a renovation that began this week. The facility, originally built in 1981, will receive a new playing surface, an upgraded drainage system and a new bermudagrass uniquely engineered to withstand cold Midwestern winters. The renovation will also include replacing the north grandstand, according to the Indiana Daily Student. The $7 million project will be complete by June 2020. —

Stephen F. Austin State University broke ground Monday on a $26 million basketball practice facility. The new facility will serve both the men’s and women’s basketball programs, providing each with their own practice space and coaches offices. The facility will include a gym, locker rooms, lounges and nutrition areas for student-athletes. Construction is scheduled to begin within the next few weeks, and is expected to be fully complete by early 2021. —
