Sacramento police are investigating a spate of locker room thefts at a Sacramento State campus fitness center.
According to the local Fox affiliate, the crimes occurred at The WELL between Monday, Oct. 14 and Friday, Oct. 18 with several lockers broken into and several credit cards and personal belongings stolen.
The WELL is a membership fitness facility that’s open to Sac State students, faculty and staff.
The lockers were broken into over the course of the week but the thieves didn’t use force to open the lockers.
Police said the thieves likely obtained the personal code combinations to the lockers by watching over the user’s shoulder. The thieves were also careful not to disturb other times in the lockers so victims didn’t notice the missing credit cards and other items until much later.
The thieves have been using the credit cards to make fraudulent purchases throughout Sacramento.
Investigators are looking for two white men with dark hair, and one white woman with blonde hair, in connection to credit cards stolen from two different lockers on Thursday, Oct. 17.
