UGA Fires Football Recruiting Staffer Who Sued Over Fatal Crash

The University of Georgia has fired football recruiting staffer Tory Bowles less than a month after she, as a survivor of the January crash that killed a coworker and a UGA football player, filed a lawsuit against the university’s athletic association.

As reported by Dylan Jackson of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Bowles learned of her termination on Friday. Her attorneys, Rob Buck and Phil Boston, claim the University of Georgia Athletic Association retaliated against her for filing the lawsuit in July.
