Another prep football game in Ohio scheduled for Thursday night had to be postponed after a shooting near a local high school.
According to WCPO, Batavia High School's game against Shroder High School was scheduled to be plated at Stargel Stadium but organizers postponed the game due to a shooting at nearby Taft High School.
A 13-year-old Taft student was taken to Cincinnati Children's Hospital. Police said the boy was shot after dismissal. Stargel Stadium is across the street from Taft and serves as the home stadium for Taft, Shroder and other local schools.
"Due to police activity in the area and concern for the well-being of the student-athletes and fans from both schools, tonightβs game is postponed," read a statement from Batavia's athletic department.
It was the second gunfire-related high school football cancelation in Ohio this week.

Batavia football coach Wayne Stacy told WCPO that the schools are now waiting to hear where they'll eventually play the game.
βWeβre going to end up playing Shroder, but it might end up being at Batavia on Saturday night,β Stacy said.
News of the shooting at Taft comes just says after Miami Valley Christian Academy canceled its Friday game against North College Hill following an isolated shooting near the football field last week.
