Dodgers to Open Stadium as Polling Place in November

Dodger Stadium may be empty of fans for every home stand right now, but the historic venue may soon be welcoming area voters to the polls.

After a number of NBA teams offered up their facilities as voting sites in November, NBA superstar LeBron Jamesā€™s organization More Thank a Vote collaborated with the Dodgers and Dodgers pitcher David Price to make the The Ravine a polling place this Fall.

The Dodgers released a statement via Twitter saying the site will be accessible with free parking to any registered voter in Los Angeles County over a five-day period leading up to Nov. 3.

The Dodgers now join the NBAā€™s Atlanta Hawks, Detroit Pistons and Milwaukee Bucks in offering up their stadium in the service of democracy.

James launched the More Than a Vote back in June. The organization seeks to protect Black voting rights and combat voter suppression.
