It wasn’t the first impression — on or off the field — that the Hoosiers football team was looking to make in their season opener against the University of Iowa at Kinnick Stadium.
While the Hawkeyes 34-6 drubbing of Indiana was indeed disappointing, so too was the editorial oversight by the Hoosiers athletic department.
In a since-deleted tweet, the Hoosiers posted a picture of players taking the field. Unfortunately, freshman running back David Holloman’s jersey in the photo featured a misspelling of the team’s name.

The front of Holloman’s jersey read “Indinia”.
Indiana later tweeted a photo without the spelling error but the image was already making the rounds on social media. Holloman’s jersey was the only jersey with the error.
