Celebrity dad LaVar Ball reportedly had a problem getting a shoe deal from the Big 3 — Under Armour, Nike and Adidas — but he has developed a signature shoe for his son Lonzo, independently made by his Big Baller Brand.
And it comes with a Big Baller price tag: $495.
In a video to introduce the shoes, Lonzo talks about being an entrepreneur and not just an endorser and how he wants to "push the culture forward."
At $495, not too many kids immersed "in the culture" will be able to afford them.
The new shoes, called ZO2s, are nearly three times the cost of LeBron James' signature shoe ($175), and more than three times the cost of the signature shoes by NBA MVP candidate James Harden ($140) and reigning two-time MVP Steph Curry ($150).
Also, there is a limited version of the Lonzo shoe that comes in a key locked glass box with LED lights plus an autograph. That one will set you back $995.
Big Baller Brand also unveiled a pair of sandals, ZO2 Slides that retail for $220.
