
In the final moments of a heated playoff game between the United States Hockey League’s Fargo Force and Sioux City Musketeers at Scheels Arena, a Force fan allegedly spit on a Sioux City player, leading to an altercation.
According to Valley News Live, police responded to Scheels Arena on Sunday, April 19, after reports of an altercation erupting at the arena.
A Fargo Force fan allegedly spit on a Sioux City player at the end of the game, prompting the player to punch the fan. Sioux City’s coach stepped in and restrained the fan, asking for someone to call the police.
The fan did sustain minor injuries from the altercation but refused medical treatment. No one was arrested following the altercation.

Neither organization has commented publicly on the incident, but fans of both teams have taken to social media to share their displeasure for this kind of behavior with some asking if the instigator will be banned from Scheels Arena.
“There is a fan code of conduct,” said one fan. “Did he get banned from the arena? That should not be allowed at any sporting event, let alone in this instance.”
