Ticketmaster has refunded the $1,644.95 that a New York Rangers fan had spent on eight tickets to the NHL's recent Stadium Series game, which he never got to see after a ticket scanner at MetLife Stadium indicated his tickets had already been scanned.

Moreover, the Rangers have offered to host Dos Stantos at a game in March.

As reported by the New York Post, Santos, 28, had purchased eight tickets for himself and a group of family members in October with a presale code, but when they arrived for the game Sunday they were denied entry.

After posting about the disappointing experience on social media and speaking with the Post, Dos Santos wrote on Thursday that Ticketmaster had apologized for what happened and the Rangers were going to put him in lower bowl seats for the March game at Madison Square Garden.

The team also promised “surprises” for Dos Santos and his family, he wrote, as reported by the Post.
